Pastor Shay Long begins her parth toward ordination in the United Methodist Church with her appointment to Mill Creek/McLeod charge. She is a recent graduate of Columbia College and will begin her studies at the Lutheran seminary in the fall. She and her husband Kermit have a daughter who will be a junior at Brookland Cayce High School and two married sons who live in Mississippi.
Nancy comes originally from Batesburg, S.C, attending Lenoir Rhyne College where she earned a BA in music education. Nancy also has a Masters Degree in music education and a Specialist Degree in special education from USC. She taught school for 39 years, and has been retired for the past five years. She is married to Norman Verigood and has three grown children. Nancy has faithfully served Mill Creek United Methodist Church for 33 years.
